Day 4 - Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Just some barely edited photos while I have some cheap wifi access on the dockside here at Ocho Rios.

The day started with a hiccup when a woman announced over the ship's PA system that, due to spontaneous riots nearby, we weren't allowed off the ship.  This turned out to be nothing more than a bust-up between the port authorities and the bus drivers who were taking passengers on tours and it was resolved after about 45 minutes!

There aren't 8 rivers here as the name suggests, but there is one and we went to see it today.  We started off having a long chairlift ride above the rainforest canopy here and then spend some time at the top - views, beer etc and then headed for Dunn's River Falls where they encourage you to walk the waterfall - but we didn't!

It's wall-to-wall reggae and Bob Marley lives on all over the place.  Had a friendly banter chat with a smartly dressed port official who said that my hat suggested I was either English or Aussie and we each moaned about the state of our own national teams!

Anyway, for now, here's the rainforest and Dunn's River Falls.  Can't really tell exactly what these pics are like as they are uncropped and it's so bright out here on the patio outside the dockside cafe!

Sea day tomorrow and only 5 hours behind you all, I think.

It is rain forest and it has rained on a tropical scale, but you soon dry off in this very warm sub-tropical climate.
